5. Management / Setting the Printer
• If you are trying to disable HTTP when HTTPS is disabled, [HTTP and HTTPS /IPPS cannot be disabled at the
same time] will be displayed. Please enable HTTPS and try again.
If the server certificate is deleted, HTTPS will be automatically disabled. To avoid disabling HTTP and HTTPS at the
same time, the certificate cannot be deleted while HTTP is disabled. If you are trying to delete the certificate, [The
certificate cannot be deleted while HTTP is disabled.] will be displayed.
Add this machine to your computer as an IPP printer.
If you enable IPP print, you can send print data to this machine via the Internet.
Setting This Machine as the IPP Printer in a Windows Environment

Open the "Printer folder" and select [Add a Printer].

Select [Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer] in the [Add Printer]
wizard.

Select [The printer that I want isn't] from the list of available printers.

Select [Select a shared printer by name].

Enter "http://(The IP address of this machine)/ipp" or "http://IP address of this
machine)/ipp/lp", and then click [Next].

Click [Have Disk].

Insert the "Software DVD-ROM" into the computer.
On a computer without a DVD drive, download the driver software file from the web
site, and double-click the file to decompress it.

Enter the following value in [Copy manufacturer's files from], and then click
[Use].
• For PCL driver: "D: Drivers _PCL"
• For PS driver: "D: Drivers PS"
• The above value is an example of the DVD-ROM drive is set to the D drive.
• On a computer without a DVD drive, specify the folder that was decompressed in step 7.

Select the INF file, and then click [Open].

Click [OK].

Select a model, and then click [OK].
