Shows that, because of paper jamming that was
caused in the printer, paper that was fed after
jammed paper remains in the printer.
Error 638 : J1: Paper Transport Path
Error 639 : J2: Paper Exit Path
The error code 639 means paper may remain near
the exist side cover of the printer.

Paper is stuck in the printer due to
a paper jam.
[Action]
Open side exit cover. If there is
paper remaining, pull the top of
the paper away from the printer.
Open the top cover.
Lift the drum basket.
Remove any paper from the belt.
If paper is stuck in the fuser
unit, remove the paper.
Push the lock lever of the fuser
unit to the right.
Remove any paper by holding
and pulling the handle of the
fuser unit.
Return the fuser unit.
Push the lock lever of the fuser
unit to the left.
Return the drum basket.
Open the side cover at the exit
part.
Remove any remaining paper if
it is present.
Close the side cover at the exit
part.
Close the top cover.

Paper jam occured near the duplex
unit.
[Action]
Proceed with the following
procedures after separating the
inverter from the main body if a
finisher has been connected.
Open the side cover of Tray1.
Remove any remaining paper.
Open the cover of the duplex
unit pressing the duplex unit
button.
Remove any remaining paper.
Pull out the duplex unit by
pulling the lever at both sides of
the duplex unit.
Open the upper cover at one
side by pulling the assist handle.
Remove any remaining paper.
Close the upper cover.
Check the upper cover at the
other side as well.
Close the cover of the duplex unit.
Return the duplex unit to the
original position.
