Place the specimen on the stage.
Engage the 10X objective in the light path.
Engage the objective you use in the light path and bring
the specimen into focus.
Bring the specimen into focus and adjust the brightness.
Set the main switch to (ON).
Place the necessary filter.
Adjust the brightness.
Select BF (brightfield observation).
This section describes the procedures of the transmitted brightfield/darkfield observation, which is the basic of all observations.
The transmitted phase contrast observation and transmitted simple polarization observation are explained in "5 Various observation
methods" on page 23.
If the analyzer for simple polarization and the polarizer are engaged in the light path, remove them from the light path.

For darkfield observation, select DF (darkfield observation).
For brightfield observation, adjust the aperture diaphragm.
Adjust the interpupillary
distance.
Adjust the diopter.
