1.3 MANUAL COMPOSITION
This booklet contains the information deemed necessary
for the safe use of the equipment, specically the booklet
indicates:
• necessary conditions of use,
• instructions on transport and start-up,
• the main technical characteristics,
• information regarding the workstation and controls,
• instructions for safe use,
• warnings on improper or unauthorized use,
• the instructions about maintenance operations,
• operating diagrams,
• spare parts diagram.
Furthermore, the nal pages in this booklet must be used
as a Control Register to record the following:
• transfers of ownership,
• routine maintenance operations,
• periodic checks and inspections,
• replacement of components, structural elements,
safety devices or parts thereof.
The manufacturer, in compliance with existing laws in force,
introduces the equipment on the market with:
• user handbook,
• EC mark,
• EC compliance statement.
1.4 TERMINOLOGY AND DEFINITIONS
(Annex I, Directive 2006/42/EC)
«Danger»: potential source of injury or damage to health.
«Hazardous area»: any area inside and/or near the
machine where the presence of a person at risk endangers
his/her safety and health.
«Person at risk»: anyone found entirely or partly in a
hazardous area.
«Operator»: the person(s) responsible for installing,
starting up, adjusting, servicing, cleaning, repairing and
transporting the machine.
«Intended use»: use of the machine according to the user
instruction manual.
«Specialized technician»: person assigned by the
manufacturer to carry out special maintenance operations
requiring training and specic skills in mechanics, oil
hydraulics and electrical engineering.
The specialized technician is acquainted with all the
possible hazards on the machine and the necessary
procedures in order to avoid injury to himself or others
during these maintenance operations.
«User»: anyone who purchases or uses the machine (e.g.
for renting, leasing or under loan) in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions.
