Functional Description
1 Slide switch with 3 positions
OFF: Current clamp is switched off.
10 mV/A: Peak value measurement of AC or DC currents with a
transformer ratio of 10 mV per A over the complete
measurement range.
100 mV/A: Peak value measurement of AC or DC currents with a
transformer ratio of 100 mV per A, i.e. increased
sensitivity and reduced measurement range.
2 Battery condition lamp "ON"
The green LED is lit when the current clamp is switched on. Should the LED
not light up, either the battery is empty or an internal error of the current
clamp occured.
3 Zero adjustment of the current clamp
By means of this thumbwheel, the output voltage of the current clamp can
be adjusted to zero. This is necessary to compensate for internal thermal
effects, remanent magnetic fields, or the geomagnetic field prior to a
measurement.
4 Battery compartment
Before you replace the battery, please ensure that
the clamp jaws are closed
the current clamp is switched off (slide switch position "OFF")
the current clamp does not grasp any wire
the current clamp is not connected to any measuring device.
Refer also to section 5.4 “Battery Replacement” on page 21.
5 Connection cable
2 meters in length, with banana plugs at cable end to connect to the
measuring device.
