Operation
Note: If remanence effects occur after measuring high DC currents,
these effects can be eliminated either by opening and closing
the clamp jaws several times (without a grasped wire!) or by
exposing the clamp to a decreasing magnetic field.
5.3 Battery Check
If the current clamp is switched on and the battery condition indicator "ON"
is off, the battery voltage is too low.
In this case please replace the battery as described in the following section.
5.4 Battery Replacement
Before replacing the battery, please ensure the following:
The current clamp may not grasp any wire and must be disconnected
from any measurement device.
The current clamp must be switched off, i.e. the slide switch must be in
the position "OFF".
To replace the battery proceed as follows:
1. Unscrew the screw in the compartment cover.
2. Open the battery compartment by removing the cover.
3. Replace the battery with a suitable 9V Alkaline type and then close the
housing.
4. Please dispose of the flat battery according to the respective recycling
regulations.
