Tyre repair kit
Minor damage to the tyre tread, e.g. from
foreign bodies, can be temporarily
rep aired using the tyre repair kit.
Do not remove foreign bodies from the
tyres. Damaged areas bigger than 4 m m
and damage at the ty re rim cannot be
rep aired using the tyre repair kit.
The tyre repair kit can be used to seal small
punctures with a liquid sealant. Use of the
sealant does not constitute a permanent
rep air but is designed as an emergency
measure, to allow the vehicle to be driven
while awaiting tyre replacement.
The tyre repair kit can also be used to
infla te the tyres to the correct tyre pressure
(see page 180) without using the sealant.

If you have a flat tyre:
z Park on a level, firm a nd non-slippery
surface.
z Sw itch on hazard warning lamps, apply
hand brake, engage reverse gear and
switch off engine.
z Correctly set up the warning triangle 3.

Never use the liquid sealant on more than
one tyre at a tim e.
The tyre repair kit is located in a stowage
compartment on the driver’s side at the
rear of the lugg age compartment.
Remove the strap from the tyre repair kit by
pressing the tabs on either side of the
buckle a nd remove the tyre repair kit from
its foam container.
9 Wa rning
Driving with tyre pressure that is too low
can cause invisible d amage to the tyres.
This dama ge c annot be remedied using
the tyre repair kit. Park vehicle and
contact a workshop.
1. Place the tyre repair k it on level ground
and unwrap the sealant filling hose
from the compressor unit.
