76 Lighting
Instrument illumination,
information display illumination
In high ambient light conditions, the auto
lighting turns on the illumination with fixed
intensity to indicate that the exterior lamps
are on.
In most other lighting conditions,
brightness can be adjusted when the
ignition is on by turning adjuster w heel up
or down.
When the light switch is turned to
position X, instrument panel backlighting
goes out and the driver information centre
is illum inated at its ma ximum brightness.
Courtesy lamps
Automatically sw itc h on when the doors
are unlocked with the remote control, w hen
a door is opened or when the key is
removed from the ignition switch.
Courtesy lamp s switch off approx.
20 seconds after closing the doors and
immed iately when the ig nition is sw itche d
on or after locking the doors with the
re m o te co nt ro l .
Reading lamps
Reading lamp s on the left and right are
individually op erable.
Press b utton on underside of interior mirror
on re lev ant side to switch on reading lam p.
Button extends.
Press button again to sw itc h off reading
lamp. Button retracts.
