Inspection system
In ord er to guarantee economical and sa fe
vehicle operation a nd to maintain the
value of your vehicle, it is of vital
importance tha t all maintenance work is
carried out at the p roper intervals as
specifie d by Opel (see chapter " Serv ic e,
Maintenance" on page 165). Tim e or
mileage/kilometre intervals - w hichever is
r ea che d f irs t - d e t er mi n e w he n y o ur ve hi cl e
is due for its next Service.
Hav e the Serv ice w ork that is due carrie d
out within one week or 500 km (300 miles).
Have this work carried out by a repairer in
accordance with Opel’s recommend ations,
using Opel genuine parts and accessories.
The engine oil life m onitor lets you k now
when to change the engine oil. Based on
driving conditions, the time or kilom etre/
mileage interval at which an eng ine oil
cha nge will be indicated can v ary
considerably.
For the system to work properly, it must be
reset every time the engine oil is changed.
Seek the assistance of a workshop.
When the system has calculated that
engine oil life has been diminished,
"CHAN GE OIL SO ON" appears in the driver
information centre - see page 69. Engine
power may be decreased. Change eng ine
oil immed iately.

Have maintena nce work, as well as repairs
to the bodywork and equipment, carried
out by a professiona l. We recommend your
Opel Service Partner, who is familia r with
O pel vehicle s and in posses sion of the
nec essary sp ecial tools and the latest
service instructions from Opel. It is
particularly advisable to use an Opel
Service Partner during the warranty period,
to avoid inv alidation of warranty claims.
