Oracle Field Service
Using Core Application
Chapter 3
Field Resource Activities
Add an Internal Activity
For Oracle Field Service to provide accurate estimates, you must account for all of your time while working. If your user
type supports it, you can add activities to your route for the internal or non-customer facing work that you do. You
might add an activity for a company meeting, a lunch break, vehicle maintenance, or a stop for gas.
Note: If you don't have permissions to add an internal activity, you can contact dispatch or your supervisor to add an
internal activity on your behalf.
1. On the home page, click Add Activity.
2. Type the information about the activity in the fields, and then click Submit.
When the activity is added, Position in route defines the new activity to be ordered or not. Ordered means that
the activity is displayed on your route in a given order.
If you are not allowed to select the value for Position in route, if you specify a time slot, the activity is displayed
in that time slot. Otherwise, it is added as pending at the end of the route.
