Note: When dressing the grinding wheel,
use intermittent strokes. Using steady
pressure on dressing brick can cause it to
burn and shorten the life of the brick.
3.Place an Oregon
®
Gaugit (depth gauge
setting tool) on the chain in the vise over
the depth gauge portion of the cutter (see
Figure 19 ).
Note: Gaugit not included. Refer to table 2,
page 17, for the correct depth gauge tool
for chain type.
4.With an Oregon
®
flat file (P/N 12211), file
the first depth gauge (see Figure 20).
Note: The Oregon
®
flat file (P/N 12211) is
not included.
5.Remove the gaugit and lower the grinding
wheel so that it touches the portion of the
depth gauge that has just been hand filed
(See Figure 21).
6. Set the depth adjustment knob and lock
into place. This has just set the depth of
grind for the rest of the depth gauges (See
Figure 22).
7. Grind all depth gauges.
8. After all grinding actions have been
completed, turn off the unit using the
white on-off switch (see Figure 15,
page 12).
