APPENDIX C. STATE-OF-HEALTH BIT
DEFINITIONS
Following are descriptions of the SOH bit. To monitor these within MAESTRO, click Acquire/
MCB Properties..., then on the Status tab (see Fig. 52).
Bit Description Comment
0 +24V
The first four bits monitor the voltages coming from the DSPEC 50. If
one of these values varies by more than ±2 V, the corresponding bit is
set.
1 +12V
2 !12 V
3 !24V
4 Temperature Set if the detector temperature increases and shuts down the HV
(therefore, the SHUTDOWN bit will also be set).
5 HV voltage Set if the high voltage deviates by more than ±300 V from the value
you entered in MAESTRO.
6 Overload Set if the preamplifier overloads for more than about 4.0 seconds.
7 Shutdown Set if the preamplifier shuts down for any reason.
