4. Unless the equipment is disconnected, please don't touch the broken part of the wiring or any
connection ends.
Note: Lightning stroke is an accident, which will not be regarded as normal maintenance.
3.6.1 Connection to Storage Battery
Adopting secondary power source, the system can be linked to storage battery (DC24V).
Ensure that its positive pole is connected to the red socket and negative pole to black one (in
order not to break down power supply of the system).
3.6.2 Ground Connection
CAUTION:
For the sake of personal safety and communication quality, grounding of KTS should be reliable.
Or else, the lightning-proof device inside would fail to work.
Resistance to ground should be less than 5 ohm.
The ground point should be directly connected to ground by cable (not linked to other ground
points).

Optional Parts
4 C.O.lines board(for CP832): each board can connect 4 C.O.lines, expand the
system to 8 C.O.lins
2 C.O.lines board(for TP832): each board can connect 2 C.O.lines, expand the
system to 8 C.O.lins
8 C.O.lines board: each board can connect 8 C.O.lines, expand the system to 32
C.O.lins
Transfer Caller ID board: FSK/DTMF can display the caller ID on C.O.line,
extensions and transfer.
