Disconnect the AC adaptor and telephone line cord from the base unit. Remove the batteries from the handset and leave to dry for at least 3 days. After the handset/base unit are completely dry, reconnect the AC adaptor and telephone line cord. Insert the batteries and charge fully before use. What to do if the handset does not ring on my Panasonic KX-TGE822E Answering Machine?
    • J
      Julia FergusonAug 26, 2025
First, check if the ringer volume is turned off and adjust it if necessary. Also, ensure that 'do not disturb' mode is turned off. If the handset is registered to multiple base units, the handset may not be able to make or receive calls or communicate with the base unit when the following conditions are met: Eco mode is set to “Eco Plus”. Base unit selection is set to “Auto”. In this case, place the handset near the base unit, and change the setting to “Eco” or “Off”. Repeat for each base unit.

Why is caller information not displayed on my Panasonic KX-TGE822E Answering Machine?
    • E
      Ernest GutierrezAug 27, 2025
You must subscribe to a Caller ID service. If you are already subscribed, and your unit is connected to additional telephone equipment, remove the equipment and plug the unit directly into the wall jack. If you use a DSL/ADSL service, connect a DSL/ADSL filter between the base unit and the telephone line jack. Also, other telephone equipment may be interfering with this unit, so disconnect the other equipment and try again.

Make sure the batteries are installed correctly. Fully charge the batteries. Check the connections. Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the unit and turn off the handset. Why is there noise heard, and sound cuts in and out on my Panasonic KX-TGE822E?
    • M
      Mitchell MossSep 3, 2025
This could be due to using the handset or base unit in an area with high electrical interference. Try re-positioning the base unit and using the handset away from sources of interference. Also, try moving closer to the base unit. If you use a DSL/ADSL service, consider connecting a DSL/ADSL filter between the base unit and the telephone line jack.
