Making calls

R To correct a digit, press MCLEARN.
2 Press MTALKN to make the call.
R To make the call using the
speakerphone, press MZN.
3 When you finish talking, press MOFFN or
place the handset on the base unit or
charger.
Note:
R While talking, you can switch between the
receiver and the speakerphone by pressing
MZN.
R In step 1, you can store the dialled phone
number to the phonebook by pressing
MSAVEN.
Making a call using the redial list
The last 5 phone numbers dialled are stored in
the redial list (each 48 digits max.).

Adjusting the receiver or
speaker volume
Handset
Press MjN or MkN on the side repeatedly
while talking.
R The available settings vary by model and
whether volume booster is turned on or off
(page 24).
R Pressing the MBOOSTN key activates the
volume booster feature. Use this key with
care. To prevent hearing damage, we
recommend that you set this product to the
lowes
t volume setting at which you can
hear adequately.
Base unit
Press
MjN or MkN repeatedly while talking.
Pause (for PBX/long
distance service users)
A pause is sometimes required when making
calls using a PBX or long distance service.
When storing a calling card access number
and/or PIN in the phonebook, a pause is also
needed (page 37).
Example: If you need to dial the line access
number “9” when making outside calls with a
PBX:
1 9 a MDN (Pause)
2 Dial the phone number. a MTALKN
Note:
R A 3 second pause is inserted each time you
press MDN (Pause) on the handset.

When a call is being received, the message
indicator flashes rapidly if the handset
message indicator’s Incoming call
setting is enabled (page 27).
1 Lift the handset and then press MTALKN
or MZN when the unit rings.
2 When you finish talking, press MOFFN or
place the handset on the base unit or
charger.
Any key answer: You can answer the call by
pressing any dial key (1 to 9, *, or #).
Auto talk: You can answer calls simply by
lifting the handset (page 43).
Temporary handset ringer off: You can turn
the ringer off temporarily by pressing M
N (left
soft
key).
