When these original batteries are exhausted, we strongly recommend that you replace them
with the following

These are available from your dealer. If you require rechargeable batteries we recommend
the Panasonic type and Panasonic Charger.
• Please be
sure
to
select
the
type
of
the
battery
in
use
on
[BATTERY TYPE]
in
the
[SETUP] menu.
Do
not
use
the
following
battery
types:
Manganese
Batteries
Ni-Cd
Batteries
Nickel
Batteries
Lithium
Batteries
It is very important that you refer to "About the Batteries" in the Operating Instructions for
details. For more information on camera accessories please contact your local Panasonic
dealer.

about
the
LCD
monitor
turning
off
during
use
The following are not indications of a malfunction.
When the camera is not operated for a while
When you press the shutter button halfway
(when the battery indicator blinks in red
before the LCD monitor is turned off)
When you press the shutter button, the camera
is turned on again. (in Power Save Mode)
Press any key to turn the LCD monitor on
again. (in Auto LCD Off Mode)
Replace the battery with a new one.
• When
the
LCD
monitor
darkens
during
use
This
camera
automatically charges for flash recording and
may
darken
the
LCD display for
efficient charge.
The LCD monitor lights up again to return to recording-ready condition.
After flash recording
Just after turning the camera ON
Just after setting to recording mode
When adjusting the zoom or pointing the camera toward dark side
• The
surface
of
the
camera
during
use
and
the
batteries
immediately
after
a
long
time
use
become
warm.
This
does
not
cause a
problem
with
the
performance
or
quality
of
the
camera.
