Recording
∫ [Wink detector]
When the camera detects a wink using the Face Detection function, it counts down from three
and takes a picture.
1 Check that a yellow frame is displayed on the face of the
person who will wink.
•
Winks of the people who are not indicated with the yellow
frame will not be detected.
2 Wink at the camera.
•
Close the other eye until a countdown starts.
• When the wink is detected, a countdown starts. A picture will be taken when the countdown is
over. If the camera is set to take more than one picture, recording will continue until the set
number of pictures are taken.
• You can also start recording by pressing the shutter button. Even in this case, the camera takes
a picture after counting down from three.
• Depending on recording conditions such as the ones below, winks may not be detected:
– When the face is not facing the camera
– When the face is at an angle
– When the face is extremely bright or dark
– When the face appears small on the screen
– When the eye is hidden by hair or other object
– When both eyes are closed
– When the subject is wearing glasses
– When there is little contrast on the faces
– When the camera is shaking
• When using a Recording Mode in which [š] in [AF Mode] is not available, [Countdown] will be set to
[ ]. (The [Countdown] setting can be changed.)
