6 Work with files
• Select the file that you want to save from the list.
• Select “Save to PC” to save the file on a local drive, a network drive or an external
memory.

6.7 Backup files
6.7.1 About backup files
A backup file contains the data from the laser marking system. Backup files have the file
extension .lmb.
To create or restore a backup file, an online connection between Laser Marker NAVI smart
on your PC and the laser marking system is required. To edit a backup file, you can work in
offline mode.
Backup files contain the following data:
• Marking files
• Graphic files
• Font files
• Function settings for all files
• System settings
• Error log
• Command history
• Operating data
• Current value of the counter function
Remarks
• System settings are party restorable.
• Error logs, command history, operation data and current values of counter functions are
not restorable.
