r Flow for setting
The ow for setting differs depending on which certicate is to be used as the security certicate used for the
HTTPS communication, either the server certicate or the self-signed certicate.
Generate the CRT key.
Generate the self-signed certificate.Acquire the server certificate.
Generate the signing request.
When using the server certificate When using the self-signed certificate
Install the certificate.
Set the HTTPS port number.
Select the connection method.
Click [Set].
Note
f When using the server certicate, the procedure from application to the certication organization to issuing of the server certicate is
required to be performed between the customer and the certication organization. For the application method, etc., contact the certication
organization.
Generating the CRT key
Generate the CRT key used for encryption with the RSA (Rivest-Shamir-Adleman cryptosystem) public key
encryption method. CRT key is a type of the private key.
1) Click [Https set up] → [CRT Key generate] → [Execute].
f The page to generate the CRT key is displayed.
2) Click [Execute].
f The CRT key is generated.
f Once the generation of the CRT key is completed, the key length and the generation date and time of the
current CRT key are displayed in [RSA key size] and [Last modied] of [Current CRT key] at the upper row.
3) Click [back].
Note
f [Not generated] displayed in [Last modied] indicates that the CRT has not been generated.
f [RSA key size] is xed to [2048bit]. The server certicate may not be issued depending on the certication organization to apply if the key
length is 2048-bit.
