1. Operating environment
1. [Important] Adobe Acrobat (R) Reader 5.0 or later is required to read
the installed operating instructions and help messages.
Double-click AR505ENU.EXE in the [Adobe] folder on the
CD-ROM and follow the directions on the screen to install Adobe
Acrobat (R) Reader.
Read the operating instructions only after you have agreed to the terms and
conditions of the licensing agreement.
2. [Important] Microsoft DirectX(R)9.0b or 9.0c must be installed in order
for MotionSD STUDIO to operate.
If the version of DirectX required for MotionSD STUDIO is not installed
prior to the installation of MotionSD STUDIO, then the DirectX installer will
be activated. Install it by following the instructions on the screen.
If DirectX is not installed, such as when its installation is cancelled when
installing MotionSD STUDIO, then install it by clicking [dxsetup.exe] in the
[DirectX] folder on the CD-ROM and following the instructions on the screen.
3. This software operates on the following OSes only:
Windows(R)XP Professional/Home Edition (Service Pack 2) or
Windows(R)2000 Professional (Service Pack 4). It cannot be used
on other OSes.
4. When using MotionSD STUDIO on a notebook computer, it is recommended that you
use the AC adapter to power the computer.
If the data is captured or recorded by using a battery pack, then it may
not be processed properly.
5. Use the standard fonts and screen settings.
Otherwise, the fonts, etc. may not be displayed properly.
6. MotionSD STUDIO cannot be used simultaneously with other movie
editing software, etc. In particular, please note that software operating
in the background, such as timer recording, may cause this software to
malfunction.
2. Usage notes
1. If a movie is outputted in MPEG2 format hybrid rendering (partial
encoding), the MPEG2 format may not be generated properly depending on
the scenes. As a result, some frames may overlap or be missed or other
failures may occur. If the MPEG2 format hybrid rendering (partial encoding)
does not work properly, then output the movie by specifying the MPEG2
format (re-encoding).
2. If you uninstall this application, then a dialog appears to prompt you to
restart the system to finish the uninstallation. In order to complete the
uninstallation process, you must restart the system.
3. Since the images are displayed to match the screen size, the size of the images
shown on the preview screen will differ from the original image size.
4. The temporary area for the file output settings is used exclusively for
