Measuring the pH Level (Ion Concentration)/測定pH值（離 子 濃 度）
After the Alkaline Ionizer has been installed or after it has not been used for a prolonged period
(generally, a week or more), be absolutely sure to measure the pH level, and check that it is within the
“pH standard” before using the Alkaline Ionizer.
Remember to measure the pH level periodically (at least once a month).
設 置 後 或長 時 間（標 準：約 一週 以 上）停止 使 用 時，務 必 測 試 pH值，請 確 認 是 否 為「pH的標準」範圍內後再使
用。日後請定期測試（一個月一次以上）。

■Procedure for measurement/測試的方法

Allow two drops of the pH test liquid to drip into the test cup.
滴2滴pH試劑於試杯內
OThe pH level cannot be measured accurately if more than two drops are used.
O2滴 以 外 無 法 正 確 判 定 結 果。

Run water treated by the Alkaline Ionizer (alkaline ion water or
acidic water) through for at least 10 seconds
(so that a stable pH level will be measured).
讓生成水（鹼性離子水或酸性水）流水超過10秒以上
（為了測試穩定的pH值）

Pour the test water into the test cup.
將測試水倒入試杯內
OIf some of the test water is first collected in a glass and then
poured into the test cup, it will be easier to align the level with
the line inside the test cup.
OSo long as the water inside the test cup is within 5 mm above
or below the line, no problems will be posed in the pH level
measurement: there is no need to adjust the level until it comes
up to the exact level of the line.
O事先將測試水放入杯內等再倒入採水試杯內，較容易核對杯上標準線條。
O倒入水量，只要在杯線約5 mm上下 的 範 圍 內，都 能 判 定 結 果，不 必 配 合 杯 線 重 新 測 定。

Important
OThe pH level cannot be measured accurately using litmus paper available on the market. Be
absolutely sure to measure it using the pH test kit.
OTo dispose of the pH test liquid, dilute it with water before pouring it down the drain.
OThe pH test liquid and pH Chart will become discolored if they are exposed to sunlight so store
them in a dark place.
注意事項
O使用市面的石蕊測試紙等無法正確測試。務必以pH值測試液來檢測水質。
O丟棄pH試劑的原液時，請先以水稀釋。
OpH試劑以及pH值圖表受到陽光照射後會變色，因此請將其保管在避光之處。
Note
OThe pH test kit is for measuring the rough pH level.
※ The main components of the reagent are ethanol, methyl red, bromothymol blue and
phenolphthalein.
ODepending on the water quality, the water treated by the Alkaline Ionizer may not be within the pH
standard range or the alkaline ion water may not be alkaline (a liquid which appears blue or dark
blue may change to a green or yellow color).
※ In addition, when the unpurified water is measured, the color of the test water may differ from what
is on the pH Chart (due to the effects of carbonic acid or other components in the water).
OIf the pH level is high, change the water quality to weak alkaline or mix the water with purified water
before using it.
OWhen the cartridge is new (about a week old), the pH level may be somewhat higher: this is normal
and does not indicate any trouble.

※藥劑的主要成分為乙醇、甲基紅、溴化麝香草酚藍和酚酞。
O依 水 質，生 成 水 的 pH值 會 有 可 能 不 在「pH的標準」範圍，或者鹼性離子水不呈現鹼性（由藍色或深藍的液
體，轉 變 為 綠 色 或 黃 色）的 情 況 發 生。
※另 外，測 試 原 水 時，測 試 水 的 顏 色 將 依 pH值圖表而不同。（受到水中碳酸與各種成分的影響）
OpH值過高時，請切換為弱鹼性水質與淨水混合使用。
O使 用 新 的 濾 芯（約 一 週）時，pH值 會 有 稍 微 偏 高 的 狀 況 發 生，非 異 常 現 象。
