Open the faucet, and
run water through the
Alkaline Ionizer (for about 3 or
4 minutes).

 When water is run through the Alkaline
Ionizer, “Preparation time” blinks for about
20 seconds on the LCD display.
 While water is running through the Alkaline
Ionizer, check that water is not leaking from
the area where the cartridge was installed
and that water is coming out of the drain
outlet.
