First, insert the tab on the bottom of the SD sunshield into
the main body, and then push the tab on the top of the
sunshield into the main body until a click is heard.

Turn on the power of the camera, and select "Use" for
"SD memory card" on the [SD memory card] tab of the
"Basic" page on the setup menu. (☞ Operating

Format the SDHC/SD memory card by clicking the
[Execute] button of "Format" on the [SD memory card] tab
of the "Basic" page on the setup menu. (☞ Operating

Align "g" of the water-resistant cap to "OPEN h" of the
camera. Then, turn the Water-resistant cap toward "h
LOCK" until the Water-resistant cap is secured to the
camera.
Step 6
Secure the water-resistant cap with the locking screw.
(Recommended tightening torque: 0.69 N·m {0.51 lbf·ft})
How to remove the SDHC/SD memory card

Step 1
Open the SDHC/SD memory card slot cover by following
steps 1 - 3 of the "How to insert an SDHC/SD memory
card" section (☞ page 15).
Step 2
Push the SDHC/SD memory card to release the lock. The
SDHC/SD memory card will come up from the slot.

Return the parts to the original state by following steps 5 -
7 of the "How to insert an SDHC/SD memory card" sec-
tion.
