From this screen choose the COM port and baud rate. The factory default baud rate is 9600.
If a single SSPA is used the Global network address setting should be used.
After the COM port has been selected the “Operation” window will be displayed. If the SSPA
is connected to a power source and turned on, the SSPA will begin communicating with the
M&C program and its operating parameters will be displayed, as shown in Figure 9-10.
Go back to the “Add New Local SSPA” window and select the correct COM port for the
second amplifier. Its operation window will appear on the M&C program display. If either of
the amplifiers is not communicating with the M&C Operation screen, debug the system to find
the problem. Check the RS-232 connection from each amplifier to the appropriate COM port
of the PC.
