MAP Check 9000 - User Manual 5. Maintenance
5. Maintenance
PBI-Dansensor's oxygen analyser, model MAP Check 9000 requires a minimum of
maintenance, and as the oxygen sensor itself is very stable, calibration of the analyser will
under normal conditions of use not be required between the compulsory service inspections
once every 12 months.
5.1. Replacement of measuring gas filter
If the measuring gas filter gets dirty or blocked, it must be replaced. After replacing a filter it
may be necessary to carry out offset adjustment (20.9%O
2
) (see "Calibration" on page 22), in
order to compensate for any changes in the sensor conditions.
5.2. Measurement of the Sensor Reference Value parameter of
the Oxygen Sensor
This parameter, hence forth called S.REF, offers information about the health of the O
2
sensor. To measure the parameter, perform the following procedure:
1. Ensure the gas supply over the next few minutes is constant in oxygen content. If this not
be done, turn off the gas supply and allow atmospheric air to enter the sensor.
2. Press and hold
and simultaneously for 1 second. The display will show DIA.
3. Press once to go to the SET menu.
4. Press repeatedly
, until the display shows S.REF.
5. Perform the test by simultaneously pressing and . The measurement takes 60
seconds. Hereafter, the new value is shown on the display, and the measurement of
oxygen is continued.
WARNING! When measuring the
S.REF parameter, the sensor signal will change. Therefore
alarms will possibly occur. Also, the readout during the measurement and a couple of
minutes after the measurement will not be correct.
