Helmet:
Always wear an approved helmet while riding your Pedego Elevate
and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for t, use and care of
your helmet. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the
local laws where you ride your Pedego Elevate and to comply with
all applicable laws and regulations.
Get to Know Your Bike:
Familiarize yourself with your new Pedego Elevate. Double check
that all of the fasteners are properly tightened to the specied
torque. Refer to the chart included in this manual for a complete
overview of all the torque specications. The Pedego Elevate is
equipped with a hydraulic disc brake system with exceptional
braking performance. Please note that the braking performance
will increase signicantly after a short burn-in procedure. Try
to get used to the braking response when riding over various
surfaces. Position the brake levers so they are easily reached by
your index ngers and can be pulled without excessive effort. The
same applies to the shift and assist levers. Shift smoothly without
applying excessive pressure to the pedals. This will help protect
your drivetrain components and reduce wear.
Check Before Each Ride:
• Wheels are properly secured to the fork and frame / spin freely
without any excessive resistance
• Tires are inated to the proper pressure and free of cuts or
defects
• Spokes are evenly tensioned and rims run true without any dents
• The stem, handlebars, and seatpost are properly aligned and
rmly secured
• The brakes function with sufcient hydraulic pressure
• Signs of material fatigue such as stress cracks, fractures,
deformations or signs of impact
• The proper torque for all fasteners and accessories
