PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL NOTES
GENERAL WARNINGS AND SAFETY INFORMATION
ELECTRICAL
There are no user-serviceable parts in the power adapter or controller. In the event of
a failure, these parts should be replaced.
• All electrical connections must be completed according to local codes.
• Only use AC power adapter supplied with the unit.
• The power outlet must be grounded.
• To disconnect power, unplug the AC adapter from its power source.
MECHANICAL
• Do not use petroleum based lubricants such as Vaseline, oils, or hydrocarbon
based lubricants. Use only 100% silicone lubricants.
• All plastic connections should be hand tightened. Thread sealing tape may be
used on ttings that do not use an O-ring seal. Do not use pliers or pipe wrenches.
• All plumbing must be completed according to local codes.
• Observe drain line requirements.
• Use Teon* tape on all threaded connections, do not use any other type of thread
sealant.

GENERAL
• Observe all warnings that appear in this manual.
• All plumbing and electrical codes must be complied with when installing this product.
• Keep the unit in an upright position. Do not turn on its side, upside down, or drop.
• Maximum ambient temperature for the location and operation of the unit is 49°C.
• This system is suitable for installation on a cold water supply. The operating water
temperature is between 5°C and 38°C. Installation of this system on a hot or warm
water supply is not permitted.
• Working water pressure range is 210 – 500 kPa (30 – 73 PSI).
• Do not allow this water ltration system to freeze. Damage from freezing will void
the warranty.
• The Pentair series UV ltration system can be installed outdoors or indoors.
