APPLICATION WARNING: Minimum water characteristics must be
met before installing the system to ensure proper operation and
continuous protection.
• If the water quality parameters are exceeded, pre-ltration is required as water of
this quality can compromise the effectiveness of the UV system. The lters need
to be regularly replaced and the quartz sleeve regularly cleaned or replaced to
keep the system performing.
• If bacteria has been present before installing this system, we recommend ushing
the pipelines after the system has been installed to clear any contaminated water.
• Do not connect PVC pipe within 1 meter of the outlet of the system.
• The system should not be used for any other purpose without specic approval
from Pentair.
NOTE: To avoid possible property damage, this product should be
regularly examined for leakage and deterioration and replaced when
necessary. A drain pan or safe tray plumbed to an appropriate drain
line should be used in applications where any leakage could cause
property damage. The water supply should be turned off if no one is
home/present for extended periods.
INSTALLATION PREPARATION

• Pipe Cutter • Thread Sealing Tape
• Power Drill • Adjustable Wrench
• Tape Measure • 100% Silicone Lubricant
• Bucket • Disposable Gloves and Microbre Cloth
INITIAL INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
The Pentair UV series ltration point of entry system has 25 mm (1 inch) plumbing
connections.
1. Before attempting installation check the unit to ensure the quartz sleeve is
intact.
2. Locate a suitable position for the UV system, remembering to allow 120mm
under the 75 LPM unit and 700mm clearance above the unit for cartridge
and lamp changes. A power outlet with twin and earth is required within 1m
of the unit.
