4.3 Care and cleaning
To guarantee optimum performance, as well as a long service life of the product, please follow the
recommendations below:
• Keep the product away from corrosive substances.
• Make sure the product is completely dry before charging.
Note: Prior to initiating maintenance cleaning of the Body Camera, conduct a thorough inspection of
both the device and any associated accessories to identify potential physical damages. It is
crucial to ensure that all components are in optimal condition, devoid of visual cracks or
openings that could permit direct exposure to the internal elements. This precautionary step
is essential to maintain the integrity of the device and prevent any inadvertent damage during
the cleaning process. Contact your IONODES reseller should you find any damages or defects.
Warning: Warning: Avoid using sharp objects in sensitive areas like the USB-C port, speaker, power ports,
ethernet ports and microphone ports of the body camera and docking station. Such actions can
impair functionality
For external cleaning:
• Apply cleaning solutions to the cloth, soft paper tissues, rather than directly onto the device to
control the amount of moisture exposure.
• Use soft, lint-free (microfiber) cloth, soft paper tissues, or non-abrasive sponge to avoid scratching
screens or lenses.
• Dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spotting.
• Allow the BWC to air dry in a well-ventilated area.
Warning: Do not use any type of solvent, such as thinner and benzene, as they may damage the surface
of the product.
Warning: Do not use abrasives of any kind to clean the camera, as they can scratch the lens cover, leading
to degraded image quality.
