Why is a large quantity of CO2 gas being consumed by my Phcbi MCO-170AC?
    • D
      Daisy MartinAug 18, 2025
A large consumption of CO2 gas may be due to the outer and inner doors being frequently opened and closed. Check for gas leaks from connectors due to deterioration or pinhole leaks in the gas tube, and consider replacing the gas tube annually. Also, inspect the packing seal for the inner door for defects and ensure the access hole is closed.

What to do if the chamber temperature does not match the set value in Phcbi MCO-170AC?
    • T
      taylor45Aug 21, 2025
If the chamber temperature doesn't match the set value, check if the ambient temperature is less than 5 °C different from the set value. Ensure the outer door is closed and the inner door isn't left open. Also, verify the incubator isn't operating near an appliance that generates electromagnetic waves.

How to fix CO2 gas density if it does not match the set value in Phcbi MCO-170AC Accessories?
    • R
      Robert ScottAug 26, 2025
If the CO2 gas density does not match the set value, ensure the secondary pressure for the gas regulator is at the specified value of 0.03 MPa(G)–0.1 MPa(G) (0.3 kgf/cm2(G)–1 kgf/cm2(G), 4.4 psi(G)–14.5 psi(G)). Check if the gas tube is blocked and if the humidifying pan is full of sterile distilled water. Verify that the duct and fan are securely attached.

What to do if Phcbi MCO-170AC incubator does not operate at all?
    • D
      David ChoiAug 28, 2025
If the incubator does not operate, verify that it is plugged in and that there is no power outage or tripped circuit breaker. Also, ensure the removable power supply cord is connected to the port on the lower right side of the cabinet.

Why is the CO2 gas density slow to recover in my Phcbi Accessories?
    • R
      Rebecca CherrySep 1, 2025
A slow recovery of CO2 gas density may be due to a clogged HEPA filter in the CO2 gas piping. Check if there is little gas remaining in the CO2 gas cylinder and ensure the secondary pressure for the gas regulator is at the specified value of 0.03 MPa(G)– 0.1 MPa(G) (0.3 kgf/cm2(G)–1 kgf/cm2(G), 4.4 psi(G)–14.5 psi(G)). Also, verify the gas tube isn't blocked and the duct and fan are securely attached.

Why are normal cultures not possible, and the CO2 gas density is suspect in my Phcbi MCO-170AC Accessories?
    • C
      Chad WoodsSep 4, 2025
If normal cultures are not possible and the CO2 gas density is suspect, check if the ambient air environment around the incubator is normal and free from sources of polluted gas. Also, ensure the chamber temperature isn't decreasing due to frequent door openings or low water levels in the humidifying tray. Note that for heat conduction type CO2 sensors, the CO2 concentration may display higher than actual when the humidity inside the unit decreases.

How to increase chamber humidity in Phcbi MCO-170AC Accessories?
    • B
      Barbara StewartSep 7, 2025
To raise the chamber humidity, ensure there is enough sterile distilled water in the humidifying pan.

Why CO2 gas is not being injected in Phcbi MCO-170AC?
    • D
      Daniel FosterSep 12, 2025
CO2 control for the incubator follows the ON-OFF method. CO2 gas is intermittently injected as the gas density in the chamber approaches the set value. Injections may be stopped for periods of approximately 15 seconds, but that is not an error.

What to do if an alarm is activated on my Phcbi MCO-170AC?
    • A
      Amy RobertsNov 14, 2025
If an alarm is activated, consider the following: Does the chamber temperature or CO2 gas density match the set values? For the gas regulator, is the secondary pressure at the specified value of 0.03 MPa(G)–0.1 MPa(G) (0.3 kgf/cm2(G)–1 kgf/cm2(G), 4.4 psi(G)–14.5 psi(G))? Is the gas tube properly connected? If during operation, is the high-limit alarm temperature set at least 1 °C higher than the chamber set temperature? Check if the temperature setting has been changed, or if the outer door has been left open for a long time, or if a low-temperature object has been placed in the chamber. These conditions will clear the alarm automatically after a short time. Also, verify the gas tube isn't loose, there are no gas leaks, the CO2 gas density setting hasn't been changed, the gas cylinder isn...
