Chapter 4: Router Configuration

Operating Mode
Please choose the appropriate mode according to your requirement, it support AP, Router,
Repeater, Bridge and Client mode.
AP: In this mode, the device allows wireless communication devices to connect to a wireless
network by using WIFI. The Ethernet port and the wireless port both work as LAN ports.
Router: In this mode, the device enables multiuser to share Internet via ADSL/Cable Modem.
The wireless port share the same IP to ISP through Ethernet WAN port. The Wireless port acts the
same as a LAN port while at AP Router mode.
Repeater: The Repeater relays signal between its stations and the root AP for greater wireless
range, it can boost wireless signal strength.
Bridge: This mode bridges the AP and another AP also in bridge mode to connect two wired
LANs.
Client: In Client mode, it will act as a wireless station to enable wired host(s) to access wireless
AP.
Internet Settings
This submenu only comes up under Router mode.
WAN Connection Type: To make sure the connection type your ISP provides, please refer to
your ISP for more information.
Dynamic IP (DHCP): Connections use dynamic IP address assignment, it means your ISP is
running a DHCP server.
