6 If a digital source is selected:
After the recording process, the CD recorder
stops automatically.
If an analog source is selected:
At the end of the recording process, the CD
recorder stops after a silence of 20 seconds on
the source material.
● To stop recording manually, press Çon the
system.
Note:
– Recordings from DAT, DCC or DVD will
automatically stop after 20 seconds of silence.
Manual recording
1 Follow step 1–2 of “Synchro start recording”.
2 Adjust JOG CONTROL (or pressí or ë
on the remote control) to select :
➜ ”AUX MANUAL?” : for manual start
recording.
3 Press YES to confirm.
➜ “PREPARING” is displayed, followed by
“RECORD?” and the remaining recording time of
the CDR(W).
● To set the optimal recording level (refer to
“Adjusting the record level”).
4 To start recording, start playback the external
source and press YES simultaneuously.
5 To stop recording, pressÇ on the system.
➜ “UPDATE” is displayed.
Note:
– If “CHECK INPUT” is flashing, check the digital
connection.

Finalizing CDR(W) disc
After recording, the CDR(W) disc has to be
finalized in order to :
for CDR – play on a standard CD player.
– avoid further unwanted recordings.
for CDRW – play on a CDRW compatible CD
player or CD recorder.
– avoid further unwanted recordings.
– avoid accidental erasure of tracks.
Notes:
– Finalizing will take about two minutes.
– During finalization, no other operating
commands can be executed.
– When a CDR has been finalized, no more
recordings can be added.
– After finalization of the CDR(W), CDRW changes
to CD on the display.
Auto finalizing
When using the COPY CD recording function,
your recordings will be finalized automatically.
Manual finalizing
1 Insert the CDR(W) you want to finalize in the
CD recorder tray.
2 Press FINALIZE CD.
➜ “FINALIZE?” is displayed.
3 Press YES to start finalizing.
➜ FINALIZE is shown. “FINAL” is displayed and
the remaining operation time starts to count
down.
