1. Press the TAPE function button.
2. Insert the tape to be recorded in TAPE I.
Wind the tape forward pass the leader to the start of the magnetic
coated portion.
3. Push the DOLBY NR switching button to select
the ON/OFF state of the Dolby NR function.
( You cannot use this function with the XR-A330 and XR-A550.)
The ON and OFF states alternate each time this button is pressed.
The DONR indicator lights when it is ON.

4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button (< or ») of the
direction you want to record.
(With TAPE I on the XR-A330 and XR-A550, only » forward
playback is possible.)
The indicator in the display shows the direction in which recording
will start.
Press the STOP (m) button after choosing the recording direction.
5. Press one of the AUX, TUNER or CD input function
button of the main unit to select the component
to be recorded.
(If you selected CD, input function then press the PLAY/PAUSE
button to pause the CD player.)
6. Press the REC/STOP button to start recording.
Ifyou selected CD, press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback.
The REC indicator (REC @) lights during recording.
7. Play the program source to be recorded.
To stop recording:
Press the REC/STOP button.
e@ Inthe recording mode, the input source cannot be changed.
e@ Sound morphing is turned off during recording.
e@ This unit automatically sets the recording level by ALC (Auto Level
Control) function. (You cannot use this function with the XR-A330
and XR-A550.)

1. Appuyez sur la touche de fonction TAPE.
2. Introduisez la cassette 4 enregistrer dans TAPEI.
Avancezla bande au-dela de I'amorce jusqu'a ce que vous atteignez
le début de la partie magnétisée.
3. Appuyez sur la touche de sélection DOLBY NR pour
mettre fa fonction DOLBY NR sur ON ou sur OFF.
(Vous ne pouvez pas utiliser cette fonction avec le modéle XR-
A330 et XR-A550.)
A chaque appui sur la touche, ON et OFF alternent comme suit.
Le voyant DONR s'allume lorsque la fonction est mis sur ON.

4. Appuyez sur la touche PLAY/PAUSE (< ou >) qui
correspondausensdanslequel vous voulezenregistrer.
{La platine TAPE I du modéle XR-A330 et XR-A550 ne permet que
la lecture dans le sens normal >.)
Levoyantdel’écran d'affichage indique ie sens de |'enregistrement.
Appuyez sur la touche STOP (m) aprés sélection du sens de
l'enregistrement.
5. Appuyez sur la touche de fonction AUX, TUNER
ou CD de l'appareil principal afin de sélectionner le
composanta partir duquel vous voulez enregistrer.
(Si vous avez sélectionné la fonction CD, appuyez sur la touche
PLAY/PAUSE pour mettre en attente le lecteur de CD.)
6. Appuyez sur la touche REC/STOP afin de
commencer I'enregistrement.
Si vous avez sélectionné CD, appuyez sur la touche PLAY/PAUSE
afin de commencer la lecture.
Le voyant REC (REC @) s'allume pendant I'enregistrement.
7. Passez la source du programme a enregistrer.
Pour arréter I'enregistrement:
Appuyez sur fa touche REC/STOP.
e Enmodeenregistrement, vous ne pouvez pas changer de source d'entrée.
e La fonction de manipulation de son est désactivée pendant
l'enregistrement.
@ Cet appareil régle automatiquement le niveau d'enregistrement
avec la fonction ALC (Automatic Level Control). (Vous ne pouvez
pas utiliser cette fonction avec le modéle XR-A330 et XR-A550.}
