over analogue telephone lines in the voice-frequency band.

1.3. System Overview
The EM-2 is a line powered auto dialing telephone designed to help a person unable to communicate
with the service provider either through physical disability or language difference. A programmable
digital voice message is played upon answer of the distress call and is used to identify the calling
location to the control center.
