What to do if my Polaris Offroad Vehicle engine turns over but won't start?
- AAmanda HaydenAug 17, 2025
If your Polaris Offroad Vehicle's engine turns over but won't start, several factors could be at play. First, ensure you have fuel in the tank. If fuel is present, check for any blockages or dirt in the fuel line or filter, and clean or replace them as needed. Also, the fuel valve may not be allowing fuel to pass through, so inspect and repair it. The fuel pump could be inoperative or restricted, test and replace it if necessary. A plugged tank vent can also cause this issue, so clear the vent. Other potential causes include a problem with the carburetor starter circuit (check it), a flooded engine (clear the flooding), low compression (perform a compression test), or a fouled spark plug (inspect and replace it).
