7. Verify that the timing marks are in alignment as
shown below.
NOTE
Intake cam sprocket should have “I” marks aligned with
gasket surface and the exhaust cam sprocket should
have “E” marks aligned with gasket surface.
8. Verify cam timing is correct and the piston is at TDC
q
.
9. Install cam carrier bolts and torque in sequence to
specification.
TORQUE
Camshaft Carrier Bolts:
7 ft-lbs (10 Nm)
