• To Format a Memory Card
Formatting a memory card deletes all data already stored on it.
1. Insert a memory card into the camera.
2. Turn on the camera and press the
button.
3. Press the right button to access the Setup
Menu.
4. Use the up or down button to select the
Format option.
5. Press the right button to access the Format
submenu.
6. Use the up or down button to select “Yes”
to format the current memory, or “No” to
cancel.
7. Press the
button to complete the format
operation.
IMPORTANT!
• You can format a memory card on the camera or on a computer. However
formatting a memory card on a computer takes much longer.
• Note that data deleted by a format operation cannot be recovered. Make
sure you do not have any useful data currently stored on a memory card
before you format it.
• Formatting a memory card destroys all the pictures, even those are
protected.
