As an example of a custom conversion curve, see the graphic where the complete conversion curve
is parallel-shifted upwards by + 12 HB. This curve can be found when selecting the “HB Brinell” scale
and material group “6.1 Alu-AN40 (ABB)”.

User-defined conversions can be accessed on the Equotip Piccolo 2 through the op-
tion
in the selection menu of the hardness scale, see the device manual.
4.4. Shore Conversion Standard
In order to use Japan Shore conversions according to the JIS B 7731 standard, select “Custom J”
from the dropdown field “Conversion Standard”.
4.5. Impact body D / DL
In order to apply the correct device settings after changing the impact body, use the dropdown field
“Impact Body”.
