7.0 Wireless data transfer and e-mail alarm via GPRS (VIBRA
+
-option)
With the VIBRA
+
the measured peak data can be sent to a preset e-mail address. If enabled, you will
automatically receive the peak data of the last 24 hours on a daily basis. The measuring data mailed does
not include traces. Of course, traces are saved by the VIBRA and can be downloaded via USB to any PC
or laptop.
It is also possible to e-mail the data anytime by selecting the option Send E-mail in the main menu or the
measuring menu of the VIBRA
+
in the field.
Please follow the guidelines below in order to enable wireless data transfer:
- Installation of the GPRS SIM card in the VIBRA
+
- Activating the mobile internet subscription with the VIBRA PC software
- Testing the connection
GPRS M2M Data SIM card
To enable wireless data transfer, it is necessary to acquire a SIM data card in combination with a
GPRS data M2M (Machine to machine) subscription. This service is provided by local mobile phone
providers. You do not need to purchase the additional PC card that most providers offer in
combination with such a subscription.
7.1 Installation of the SIM card in the VIBRA

PLEASE NOTE: only install a SIM card with activated subscription without pin.
You can check this by placing the SIM card in a (GPRS) mobile phone and by
sending a SMS.
Step 1:
Check whether the VIBRA
+
has been switched off. Place the VIBRA
+
front side down
on a flat and clean surface. Remove the 4 hexagon socket screws (size A2) at the
back with the provided Alan key (size 2.5 mm).
Step 2:
Carefully take off the cover and
continue immediately with the
next step.
Please do not touch the
electronics on the circuit board at
any time.
