MAINTENANCE / CARE
Maintenance / Care
• The children's training bicycle must be checked, serviced, and maintained at
regular intervals. This is the only way to permanently guarantee that the
children's training bicycle will comply with safety-relevant requirements
and continue to function correctly. Therefore, carry out the described in-
spection, care and maintenance instructions depending on the frequency of
use (but at least once a year).
• The screws and nuts installed in the children's training bicycle must be
checked at regular intervals (at least every 3 months) for tight t and should
be retightened with the correct strength, as necessary. This is the only way
to permanently guarantee that the children's training bicycle will comply
with safety-relevant requirements and continue to function correctly.
Screws and nuts that have been tightened too much can break.
Risk of accident!
•
For cleaning, never use a high-pressure cleaner or steam cleaner as this can
cause damage (e.g. damage to varnish, damage caused through rust devel-
opment in the bearings, etc.). Instead, clean the children's training bicycle by
hand with warm water, a bicycle detergent and a soft cloth.
• Refrain from using aggressive cleaning agents since they could corrode the
varnish, for example. After cleaning, apply commercially available bicycle
preservative and polishing agents, specically to components at risk
of corrosion.
• To prevent rust development in areas with saline air (proximity to coast),
the children's training bicycle should be serviced at shorter intervals and
must be treated with preservative products.
• The tyre pressure must be checked regularly (at least every 3 months) and
adjusted as necessary. Maintain the minimum or maximum pressure as
specied on the tyres. The maximum pressure may never be exceeded as
the hose would otherwise burst. Danger of damage and accident!
• Only carry out repairs, maintenance and adjustment work yourself if you
possess the necessary technical expertise and the appropriate tools. Incor-
rect or inadequate repair, maintenance and adjustment work can lead to
damage to the product and result in malfunctions and accidents.
• During its use,in case of accidents or incorrect handling, the children's train-
ing bicycle or its individual components are partially subject to high stress.
Any kind of tears, scratches or colour changes could indicate a sudden fail-
ure of the aected component. This especially applies to bent or damaged
safety-relevant components, such as the frame, fork, handlebars, wheels,
tyres and hoses, saddle and seat post. Never repair these defective compo-
nents but replace them immediately with original spare parts. Danger of
breakage and accident!
• When exchanging components use only original spare parts because only
these have been coordinated specically to the product and can guarantee
proper function. This particularly applies to safety-relevant components,
such as: frame, fork, handlebars, wheels, tyres and hoses, saddle and seat
post. If you use third-party components as replacement, these could cause
damage and lead to the failure of safety-relevant components.
