Why won't my Pulsar PG5250BCO Portable Generator start, shuts down during operation, or runs rough?
- LLeon EllisAug 6, 2025If your Pulsar Portable Generator engine won't start, shuts down, or runs rough, here's what to check: * Ensure the ON/OFF switch is set to “ON”. * Replace the air filter if it's dirty. * Clean or replace the fuel filter if it's clogged. * Replace the fuel if it's stale. * Reconnect the spark plug wire if it's disconnected. * Replace the spark plug if it's bad. * Drain and replace the fuel if there's water in it. * Ensure the fuel valve is in the “ON” position. * Turn off the choke if the engine is over choked. * Fill the crankcase to the proper oil level and place the generator on a level surface if the oil level is low. * If the engine has flooded, wait 5 minutes and crank it.
