Why is my Puratech 5100 not producing soft water?

  There are several reasons why your Puratech Water Dispenser might not be producing soft water: * The bypass valve may be in the Bypass position. Place the bypass valve in the Service position. * The appliance may be plumbed backward. Check that the appliance is plumbed correctly. * There may have been an extended power outage. Reset the time of day. * The water hardness may have increased. Re-test the water and re-enter a new setting number. * The appliance might not be metering water. Flow should be indicated with water usage. If there is no flow, further inspection is needed.
