Hot-Swapping Redundant Power Supplies
NAS devices with redundant power supply units (PSUs) support hot-swapping.
Warning
Electric shock hazard.
Tip
By default, the NAS issues audio alerts and desktop notications in case of redundant PSU
failures. Redundant PSU failures include when the NAS is operating on a single healthy
PSU only. In this case, if you want to stop receiving redundant PSU failure alerts and
notications, go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > General and deselect Enable
redundant power supply mode.
1. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet and the power supply unit (PSU) that you are
replacing.
2. Firmly press the latch down and then pull the PSU out.
