This equipment should be installed and maintained by qualified personnel only, in
accordance with recognized safety standards and applicable electrical or building
codes. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages or injuries resulting from
improper installation or use.
For the purposes of this manual, a qualified person is one who is familiar with the
installation, construction, or operation of the equipment and the hazards involved. In
addition, he has the following qualifications:
a) Is trained and authorized to energize, de-energize, clear, ground, and tag
circuits and equipment in accordance with established safety practices.
b) Is trained in the proper care and use of protective equipment such as rubber
gloves, hard hat, safety glasses or face shields, flash clothing, etc., in
accordance with established safety practices.
c) Is trained and authorized to work on exposed parts that may be energized.
d) Is trained in rendering first aid.
