Console Calibration
After the initial programming of the SCS console is complete, it may be necessary to refine the calibration
values for the specific machine which will help the SCS console accurately control products during sprayer or
spreader applications.
Note: Write down these Calibration Values for future reference or for calling technical support.
Speed Cal
Raven industries recommends the following values for the initial speed cal:
These values are usually a good starting point and will generally yield adequate results; however, the speed cal
should still be refined for each vehicle.
1. Make sure all of the boom section switches are turned OFF before powering the console ON.
2. Press the DISTANCE key and then reset the odometer display to “0” using the Edit mode.
3. Drive 1 mile [1 kilometer]. The SCS console will measure the distance driven using the original speed cal.
Note: Accelerate and decelerate slowly. To achieve the most accurate calibration, do not use the
vehicle odometer or the SCS console distance display to measure the actual distance driven. Use
section lines or highway markers to determine the actual distance.
