6. In the HyperTerminal program on your home or office PC, click “Transfer” in the menu bar and then choose
“Send Text File.”
7. Locate the appropriate text file to update the SCS console connected to the computer.
8. Open the text file to begin the firmware update.
9. Once the update starts, the console will display the current line number of the update file being sent to the
console as well as the total number of lines to complete the update. The update may take anywhere from
5-20 minutes depending upon your computer.
10. Once the update is finished, the SCS console will automatically power off.
11. Close the HyperTerminal program and disconnect the null modem cable.
