Remote Time Out
If the remote becomes unlinked from the machine for more
than two minutes the machine will shut down and need to
be re linked via the startup procedure
Replacing the Batteries
Should your remote batteries fail, they are replaceable.
The remote requires three AA batteries that are accessible
from the bottom of the remote. When replacing the remote
batteries Rayco recommends that you use good quality
alkaline batteries only.
To remove the batteries, locate the thumb screw (E) and
loosen to remove cover. Push the battery pack toward the
red cover (F.) and lift. Once the battery pack is removed,
slide the end with the terminals from the housing. Replace
batteries following the + and - ends and reinstall battery pack.
Emergency Stop
Should the need arise to stop the machine abruptly, the
operator can stop the machine two ways.
1. Push in on the machine Emergency Stop Switch (e) on
the machine Dash.
2. Push down on the Emergency On/Off Switch (5) on the
remote
Note: If the machine is shut down using one of the
emergency stop systems the remote may need to be re
linked to the machine by following the start up procedure.
To reset the Machine Emergency Stop Switch (e), turn
clockwise and release.
Cutter Wheel Engagement
To engage the cutter wheel , the operator must depress
Mandatory Action Switch (6) and the Cutter Wheel switch
(4) at the same time. To turn off the cutter wheel, simply
tun the switch off.
The cutter wheel on the RG55R has preset parameters to
engage and disengage. If the engine RPM’s are too low the
cutter wheel will not engage to prevent engine stall. If the
engine RPM’s are too high the cutter wheel will not engage
to prevent damage to the machine. The cutter wheel will only
engage between 700 and 1300 RPM. When the cutter wheel
is on and engines RPM’s are reduced below 700 RPM the
cutter wheel will disengage.
Note: the cutter wheel parameters are intended to extend
the life of the machine and do not replace the need for
proper attire or safety equipment. Always keep a safe
distance from the cutter wheel whenever the machine
is running.
Command Cut
The Command Cut® adjustment is located on the remote
(10). The operator can select the speed of the boom swing
to optimize power and performance of the RG55R. 100 is
full swing and 0 is slow swing.
