2.RemoveandretainthescrewssecuringtheGPSantennatothe
polemountadaptor,thenseparatethesetwoitems.
3.Screwthepolemountadaptorfullyontothepoleandensureit
issecure.
4.Feedtheantennacablethroughthecenterofthepolemount
adaptorandthendownthroughthecenterofthemountingpole.
5.Ensuringyoudonottrapthecable,placetheGPSantennaon
thepolemountadaptorsothescrewholesarealigned,then
securetheantennawiththe3screwsremovedduringstep2.
4.8Systemchecks
Switchingon
Whentheinstallationiscomplete,observetheSTATUSindicator
and:
1.SwitchonpowertotheAIStransceiver.
2.Checkthat:
i.Whenpowerisswitchedon,theSTATUSindicatorashes
RED,thenafterafewsecondsgoesAMBER.
Theamberconditioncontinueswhilethetransceiveracquires
aGPSxthentransmitsapositionreport.Thiscantakeup
to2minutes.
ii.Whentherstpositionreporthasbeentransmitted,the
STATUSindicatorgoesGREEN.
Thisconditionremainsallthetimethetransceiverisoperating
normallyandtransmitting.
