oenableaccurateplacementofAugmentedReality(AR)flagsonthecamera’svideofeed,the
AR200’sAHRSsensorsneedtocompensateforlocalandtheEarth’smagneticfields.Thisis
achievedusinganautomaticlinearizationprocess.Thelinearizationprocessstartsautomatically
afteryourvesselhasturnedapproximately100°,whentravellingataspeedofbetween3to15knots.
Thelinearizationprocessrequiresnouserinput,howeveratleasta270°turnisrequiredbefore
linearizationcanbecompleted.Thedurationofthelinearizationprocesscanbedecreasedby
completingafull360°turn,whentravellingataspeedofbetween3to15knots.Thelinearization
processcanalsoberestartedatanytime.
IntheVideoapptheLinearizationprogressbarisdisplayedwhenlinearizationisinprogress,the
barwillfilltoindicatecompleteness,thebarwillturnR ediftheprocessispausedorotherwise
interrupted.
Thetimetakentocompletethelinearizationprocesswillvaryaccordingtothecharacteristicsofthe
vessel,theAR200’sinstallationlocationandthelevelsofmagneticinterferencepresentatthetime
linearizationisperformed.

Magneticinterferencecanalsobecausedbyexternalobjectsincloseproximatelytoyourvessel,

Magneticdeviationistheerrorinducedinacompasscausedbyinterferencefromlocalmagnetic
fields.
TheautomaticlinearizationprocessresultsinadeviationvaluebeingsetforyourAR200.If
AugmentedRealityflagsintheVideoapparenotalignedwiththeironscreenobjectsorthecompass
isoutofalignmentyoushouldchecktheAR200’scurrentcalibrationsettings.
