How to fix Raymarine Sonar data not available on multifunction display?
    • E
      Elizabeth AndersonAug 18, 2025
If sonar data is unavailable on your multifunction display, check the unit's power supply and cables. Also, ensure the unit is correctly connected to a Raymarine SeaTalkhs switch or crossover coupler. Verify the status of the Raymarine network switch, if applicable, and make sure SeaTalkhs/RayNet cables are free from damage. A software mismatch between equipment may also prevent communication.

Why is my Raymarine Sonar showing problematic depth readings or sonar image?
    • W
      William BradleyAug 20, 2025
Problematic depth readings or sonar images can occur for several reasons. The gain or frequency settings may be inappropriate for the current conditions, so check the sounder presets, gain, and frequency settings. A unit power supply fault can also affect the transmitting power, so check the voltage from the power supply. Ensure that the power, transducer, and all other cables are properly connected and free from damage. Verify that the transducer is mounted correctly and is clean. For transom-mount transducers, check that it hasn’t kicked up. If the vessel is stationary, fish arches will not be displayed; instead, fish will appear as straight lines. High vessel speed can cause turbulence around the transducer, which may confuse the unit. Adjusting the scroll speed may also help.
